The Value of suffering

I came up with a sophisticated headline right off the bat, so i decided to just put it up, lets see how it pans out on the search engine.

Thorns seems to be the most apt description to this blog

Suffering is a staple in all our lives, some of us learn to accept it and understand that we need to suffer in order to see the bigger picture, a lot of us are in denial of ever having to suffer, the media dictates that we can live a life without suffering, Scam gurus sell us this lifestyle of never having to work a day in our lives and earn laptop money and be financially free with no worries whatsoever, zero until the day we pass out peacefully in the mansion that was advertised in their webinar.

You cannot eradicate suffering, you might run from it for a while, eventually you have to face the beats and dance with the devil.

Suffering comes in the form of adversity, failure and trauma, all of which sounds bad but is necessary to keep us fellow human beings grounded and realize that the world is indeed a big cesspool of different realities that cater to different people.

Adversity pushes us to be uncomfortable with ourselves, it gives us an opportunity to test our limits to see if we can cross the line of our limiting beliefs and either realize that we can do much more than what we expect of ourselves, or we give up and just not try uncomfortable stuff entirely. The positive aspect of it helps us to realize the importance of growth.

Failure shows us the dark side of our incapabilities and imperfections, it makes you take a hard look at the mirror and reflect upon your flaws, but repeated failure compels us to get better, the imperfections start growing closer towards perfection over time, failure teaches us the best of lessons at the cost of variable amounts of suffering.

Trauma is painful, it can be of minor and major proportions, but once we cope with it a lot of people come to realize humility through their own experiences and you’d find them to be the strongest of personalities and a lot of them begin to show gratitude by helping others who have gone through the same, it was the suffering that taught them the humility and strength to pick others up, that’s the twisted beauty of humanity.

I’ve gone through a lot of hardships in my life to the point where i would tell myself that i don’t deserve to go through so many failures and disappointments and that for once let me be in a place of happiness and contentment,

As time passed, the thoughts began to prove me wrong, i wouldn’t have taken certain decisions if it weren’t for my failures, i wouldn’t have times of realizations if it weren’t for the mistakes that i had made along the way, i am not halfway towards where i want to be, but i feel like a much better version of myself than i previously used to be.

Suffering is a necessary proponent to our lives, if we do not suffer we do not realize the weight of the world and the strength we need to push through challenging landscapes.
